Fall back in your love with your home this Autumn

There's something about coming back from holiday that makes you see your home differently. If yours has been quietly bothering you, autumn is the perfect time to do something about it…and you don't have to put it on the market to make a change!

Maybe it’s the back-to-reality-with-a-bump effect, but there’s something about returning from holiday that makes you see your home differently. Just for a moment – before the bags are unpacked and you start the 27 loads of washing – you see it clearly. The hallway feels cluttered, the living room has never quite come together and the spare room still hasn’t been sorted (2.5 years later).

Autumn is one of the best times to think about your home – not because of a particular trend, but because the season naturally brings a shift in how we live. We’re indoors more, hunkering down and embracing the cosiness.

Is staging just for selling?

This is a huge misconception worth cleaning up. Staging is fundamentally about helping you see your home clearly and work better for you and the way you live.

Life changes and homes need to keep up

Your home at 35 is rarely your home at 50. Kids grow up and leave rooms behind, working from home is the new norm or perhaps your relationship looks differently now too. Maybe you’ve been in your house for 15 years or recently moved, and it just doesn’t feel like “you” yet.

We see people from all walks of life, at various stages, who know that something needs to change but don’t know where to begin.

What the process looks like

One of the most useful things staging does is give every room a clear purpose. It sounds simple, but surprisingly transformative! We start with a conversation: how do you live? Which rooms work and which ones don’t? What would you change if you knew where to start?

From there, EPIC’s staging team builds a plan around you. This could look like:

  • A style guide that gives you direction and confidence to make changes yourself

  • Furniture and accessory sourcing that works with what you already have

  • Full project management from start to finish, coordinating trades and overseeing work so you don’t have to

An autumn reset

Before the darker evenings set in and you go through another season living in a space that doesn’t feel quite right, reach out and speak to Trish at the team at EPIC.
